4 Dynamic Principles and Values To Release Your Genius. It was Mae West who said – “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” This statement sums up the ethos of this article which is about embracing your best self. and harnessing your genius. You see, the reality is you can do this by tapping into powerful values and principles that you may not even know you have to take your life to the next level and release your genius.

The Difference Between Principles and Values

First off, let me explain the difference between values and principles. Values describe what influences your decisions and help us understand the difference between right and wrong. They form the foundation of your personality, attitude, insightfulness and overall behaviour. Principles are the substance of your personal values. They act as a moral compass and help you navigate the world with a sense of direction and purpose.

Your core values dedicate to how you think and feel the way you do. Why do you live where you do? Why do you dress the way you do? Why do you have the friends you keep? All this is generated by your values, the guiding force by which you live your life.

Incredibly, like part of your DNA, it goes to make up who you are. What’s more, it’s the hardest thing to derogate from it because you’ll depart from your authentic self.

This idea was reinforced by the American motivational speaker Tony Robbin’s who said when we hold a belief about ourselves, we try to cling to it because it holds the power behind who we are.

Of course, there are many types of principles and they vary in depth and significance. You can have principles by which you run your life by which you run society or even a country and indeed the world.

If you consider organisations such as North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) created to safeguard the freedom and security of all its members by political and military means, you can see how principles play out on a worldly level.

These are laws and regulations, which are usually restrictive and exist to protect its citizens, such as laws against theft, robbery or killing someone. The definition of genius is – exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability.

If you’re looking to excel or become exceptional at anything your capacity to work at it and stuck with it is an important first step.

You see, it’s all about finding your central reason for self-motivation that will enable you to somehow find the extra fuel you need to turn your potential into sheer genius. What’s more, you’ll be able to discover how to create the vision that is in your head and turn it into a reality.

You see, determination is that incredible asset you already have but may not be aware of. 

Your hidden ability to your determination is lurking in the hidden areas of your mind, it merely needs a reason to escape and allow you to master any skill or task that you set your mind to.

But the truth is one of the primary reasons people find it difficult to unleash their genius is due to an unwillingness to find the origins of their determination.

The fact is, your ability to become determine will not only help you to become a genius it will also ensure that whatever tasks you wish to accomplish will come true

If you have a passion for something, I mean a really passionate, not just a fleeting fantasy you’re can develop the mindset to work tirelessly to master your trade. You may not consider yourself a genius because of it, but the reality is, you could one day become exceptional at it.

Your ability to become a genius is the fact that you know more about whatever it is you do than other people who don’t have your level of passion. It is this that forms part of the definition of genius.

The fact is, determination is that special something, that will empower you to become a genius because it gives you that dynamic energy that makes you do a double back summersault to get out of bed in the morning and face the day with a smile.

It is also an attractive quality to have because people will flock around you because determination is also an infectious quality.

In fact, the power of determination is that you can easily become motivated simply by taking action I will explain the principle behind this later on.

The successful thriller writer, Stephen King, is a great example of what can be achieved with determination. Addicted to drugs and alcohol and almost lost his life but was scared to give it up because he thought it might ruin his creativity.

Despite this, he never lost his determination. In actual fact, since his sobriety, he has written many successful books such as “Needful Things,” “Dream Catcher,” and “Under the Dome.”  

Being determined enabled King to become an exceptional writer a genius in his field allowing him to 10X his intellectual and creative talent.

determination gave King clarity, the acute awareness of what he wanted to accomplish, while determination gave him the push to keep going, despite his drug and alcohol dependency.

However, we all know the problems associated with a lack of determination. You become complacent prepared to settle for the second-best and not go the extra mile.

The truth is, however, the most successful goal setters never settle for second best because they know this fundamental value is like gold dust, and they work on it day in day out.

I remember when I was studying to become a lawyer, I was motivated every time I watched TV. You see, the British Broadcasting Corporation, known as the BBC TV channel were precisely the A ’Level grades I needed to go to university.

However, instead of watching the BBC, I would use determination to study hard to get the life I wanted.

But if you seriously commit to developing your mindset so that you can focus on what you want over the long term, then the results will be life-changing. The above statement is incredible to believe but true. The truth is, even if you lack motivation, the act of doing that which you are not motivated to do, will itself create the momentum to kick start your motivation.

Put simply, taking action at whatever it is you want to achieve creates motivation and that is what will inspire you to unleash your genius.

Why?

Because once you get started on something, it has the magical ability to get you to want to finish it. In essence, that’s what being determined is all about, finishing what you’ve started.

The incredible thing about this, your brain gets used to seeing the results of your actions. It creates an expectation that when you start something you’re more than likely going to finish it.

As a result. your brain begins to start working even harder and this, in turn, helps you take even more action.

As the motivational speaker Jim Rohn said –

“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.”

I used to find it exceedingly difficult to become motivated until I discovered that simply taking action would boost my productivity and help to unleash my genius.

The second principle and value that will release your genius is an inability to organise yourself.

Genius’ have a strong intellectual and creative ability and usually have a mission or goal they wish to achieve.

However, without the ability to be organised their intellectual and creative talents are hidden under the debris for disorganisation and chaos.

“Your brain will thank you for it because it loves pattern”

So, just like the most highly effective people you should master the ability to become organized.  In fact, I would advise you to work on your organisation skills first before attempting to secure real success.

Make no mistake being organised creates precision and clarity, but not only that it’s the cornerstone to succeed at most things in life. This will 10X your ability to become a genius.

If you’re looking to release your genius to run a business or manage a team, it is one of the most important skills you’ll need. To inspire others and lead them requires the ability to be organised and be seen to be organised.

So, people need to see that you know what you’re doing and have the organisation skills to pull it off. 

The difference between organised people and those who aren’t is their ability to make tough decisions when needed. Highly effectively people, make the hardest decisions first and being organised is the centrepiece for this.

When you practise being organised as a habit, your brain kicks into action, and you will find that you’ll automatically become more decisive.

It takes about 21 days to form a new habit this is according to Phillippa Lally; a health psychology researcher at University College London.

So to harness your ability to become organised perform a task, that will most impact your life for  21 days in a row and then sit back and look at what you have achieved.

It’s a fundamental habit that will enable you to make tough decisions and so become clear on the path to becoming a genius.

I remember planning to set up my blog, I took long-time thinking about how my website would look and the topics I would write about. Even the amount of time I would dedicate to each blog was planned in detail.

So, instead of being in a desert without a map, I had my own personal GPS. I knew exactly where I was going, and how long it would take me to get there.
